Our easy-cut rubber carves like butter! Start with a small piece to see if it is for you.
I prefer the new rubber material to the old-fashioned linoleum tile, which was prone to chunks breaking out in cold weather.
With bigger tiles you can print larger areas. This size is ideal if you are planning an edge-to-edge print.
The carving tool comes with five different blades with different shapes that you can interchange depending on what kind of mark you are trying to create.
You will need a sponge roller and tray for applying ink to the stamp.
People have used many different methods to apply pressure to the back of their print blocks to transfer the ink clearly from the stamp onto the cloth. I prefer to use a rubber roller myself. It is convenient and easy to use and it lends itself to a number of different projects.
This is a reliable fabric printing ink that is washfast and vibrant if used correctly. Once you have printed the fabric, allow the print to air-dry, and iron it at 170 degrees for 6 minutes.
I have sourced a white ink that is really opaque and it even reads white when printed on black base-cloth.
