During the Apartheid era, previously disadvantaged people were often called on to produce their thumbprint in black to various authorities. The black thumbprint came to stand for control, rules, oppression and a generally "closed" future. Although we have come a long way from then, the cultural conditioning still remains for many of the older generation. Many of them still bear the scars and wear the stigmas from that era.

We try to shift their perceptions during our Colour Analogy so that they begin to view their world and their hands as a limitless source of possibility, including the possibility to become self-employed.
